Sheldon Owinya

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God's will that we announce the sudden demise of Our Beloved Sheldon Owinya.

On 12th of July, Sheldon complained of having a massive headache while still at his sister’s place. He took pain killers and still the headache persisted. On 15th July, he was taken to Shalom Athi River where he was diagnosed with low sodium levels and bacterial infection. He was given medication and came back home to rest.

On 23rd July, he got worse and was admitted at Shalom Hospital for 2 days where then he was transferred for second opinion at Nairobi West on 25th July. However, due to the hefty deposit required for admission he was referred to Kenyatta Teaching Referral Hospital. After numerous tests done, TB Meningitis was detected and immediately put on medication. On 28th July, he succumbed to the illness

 Sheldon was the loving son to Monica Waitherero Wambui and the late Edward Oriedo.

Doting brother to Linda Atieno Oriedo and Melissa Wambui Oriedo.

He was a wonderful friend, a phenomenal cinematographer & editor and a brilliant brilliant writer

Family and friends are meeting daily to Celebrate Sheldon's life at Lynnwood Apartments in mombasa road as from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday  3rd August, 2024 then proceed for the burial that will be held at Longonot Cemetery in Mai Mahiu in Nakuru County.
