John has a true passion for creating campaigns, platforms and products that give people “their voice”. An accomplished communication professional with over 26 years of management and practitioner experience, he is fueled by a stubborn streak of intellectual curiosity.

A successful period as an on-air personality, producer, (KBC/Reuters) preceded a new age communication specialist career; designing and implementing custom made solutions in the private and public sector. His diverse experiences (as a broadcast journalist, producer, PR consultant, Lobbyist, Brand Management, Corporate Affairs), enables comprehension of the fast-evolving nature of communication products and business.

As CEO, he pursues Creative Leadership: the ability to create an environment in which creativity thrives while allowing individuals to lead and grow in their areas.

Doubling up as Chief Product Officer, John is responsible for SafiriSalama.com’s concept and product opportunity identification & evaluation, product development & design, product project management and product marketing.

He possesses a strong ability to interrogate and communicate both small and big ideas to colleagues, make presentations to stakeholders, and field media in one-on-one interviews.

As SafiriSalama.com’s Chief Financial Analyst, Steve is responsible for financial modeling, business analysis and valuation plans for the company’s products, market approach and evaluation.

Starting off as a rookie at Equity Bank, Kenya’s 2nd largest bank, Steve has over the past 8 years developed a razor-sharp passion for getting numbers to tell stories. His skillset has enabled tens of new businesses to be launched across the region, top banks assess credit risk, and venture capital such as Leap Frog and Excelsior Group conduct due diligence on startups.

He has participated in over 10 advisory projects that among others entailed:

• Company valuation for a hospital network seeking investment to fund its expansion in East Africa,
• Due diligence assessment for a Investor seeking to set up a multispecialty care hospital in East Africa
• Developed a market launch strategy for a pharmaceutical firm looking to introduce its products in sub-Saharan Africa

He has worked for KPMG Italy (Senior Consultant), Deloitte EA (Actuarial Analyst), Excelsior Group (Senior Associate)

Her gift is a keen understanding of how a business operates and making plans for capacity requirements.

As SafiriSalama.com's Chief Capacity Manager, she has overall responsibility to determine the capacity needed by SafiriSalama.com to meet demands for its products, develop systems and methods so that the startup can better anticipate our C2B, B2B customer demands

Edith's tasks include management, coaching and developing a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, delivers best practice results and improvements

Additionally, she makes reports to the Board and Co-Founders on achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Self-driven individual with a strong performance track record and the ability to work with and lead diverse teams while holding herself to the highest ethical standards.
