Kevin Ombajo, aka Big Kev the founder of True Blaq Events, passed on Saturday 29th July 2017 after battling with brain tumor for over five years. Big Kev was laid to rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Gem, Siaya County.

His journey towards wellness lasted over a decade after his initial diagnosis in 2006. Since then, Big Kev had to undergo a total of 14 surgeries, with one culminating in blindness and paralysis on one side of his body as well as numerous seizures.

Big Kev was a pillar in the Kenyan showbiz scene and chairman of the Events Organisers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Kamene, and their daughter Shana.
