Tabitha Monyenye Monyoncho

It is with deep sorrow but in acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Tabitha Monyenye Monyoncho, which occurred on 22nd July 2023 in Nyanchwa Mission Hospital, Kisii after a long battle with cancer.

Daughter to the late Zacharia Isaboke and Abigael Bochere. Daughter In-law to the Late Bogonko Mbeche & the late Moraa Kerubo

Wife to Absalom Monyoncho Bogonko and co-wife to Gladys Achieng.

Mother to the late Glennah Nyanduko and the late Caroline Kwamboka. She was stepmother to Thomson Sindani, Duncan Bogonko (Itibo Boys Boarding Primary Sch), Arthur Onkware, Nancy Boyani, Linet Kwamboka, Ambrose Bosire, Edna Nyanduko, the late Winnie Kerubo and Dorothy Bonareri.

Sister to Teresa Gesare, Joseph Momanyi, Dorcas Nyarangi, Wilkister Barongo, Abel Morang'a, Jane Kwamboka, Milcah Obonyo, Robert Misaro, Lornah Nyamchama, Joash Machuki, Risper Nyabasi and Egrah Bitengo.

She was a sister-in- law to Prof. Sorobea Bogonko, the late Filda Kwamboka, Andrew Bogonko, Peris Moraa, Askah Boyani, the late Jane Nyamorambo, Martha Nyaboke and Beatrice Magoma.

She was Auntie to Josephine, Achando (Canada), Boyani (NCC), Nyakundi (KRA), Bosire, Edna, Dr. E Bogonko (USA), Edmond (USA), Donald, Antony, Jared, Bob, Edith Nyaboke, Gillian Omari, Clive (USA), Edna Misoka, Quilens, Onkoba, Zipporah Omariba, Everlyne, Eric; Late Philip, Joash, Huldah, Justus, Erick, Mourine, Everline, Aaron, Nyambura, Atandi, Nancy, Davis, Edmond, Ezra, Dormitilla, Ong’era, Moses, Sharon, Lewis and many more.

Grandmother to Kevin Bogonko, Brian Bogonko and Doris Kerubo Bogonko. She was a great grandma to Glennah Nyanduko.

Her body is lying at Hema Hospital Mortuary. The cortege leaves the mortuary on Thursday 3rd August for a prayer service and night vigil at her home. She will be laid to rest after a funeral service on 4th August 2023 at her home in Sigona Matongo village, Marani Sub-county in Kisii county.
