It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mama Sera Adongo Otuoma which occurred on 08/08/2026.

She was the beloved wife of the late Benea Otuoma Obange of South Uyoma, Lieta Sub-location, Minya Village.

Beloved daughter of the late Mzee Nathan Odero and the late Mama Margaret Ong’ech of Gem Kasagoma.

Co-wife of Mama Monica Otuoma and Mama Jane Otuoma. She was a loving mother of the late Scholar Mary Juma, and the late Mereciah Kopondo. Her other children are Milton, Dan, Pamela, Esther, Abisalom Otuoma, Fred, Jael, Flora, Ruth, Beatrice, Dennis, Abisalom Amollo, Paul, Morton, Steve, Shadrack, Priston, Jael Akinyi, Norman, Millicent, Killion, Tobias, the late Phoebe, Terry, the late Charity, the late Richard and Ochieng.

Sister of Thomas, the late Perez (Twin), the late Ruth, the late Isaac, Wilfrida, Penina, and Phoebe. Co-in-law with Perez, Orpa, Turphosa, Rev. Mary, Joan, Esther, Grace and Pheobe. Daughter in law of the late Abisalom Obange and the late Onundo Nyar Asembo, the late Carolina, the late Alice and Rael. She was a sister-in law of the late Doc. David Onyanyo, the late Joshua Agogo, the late Haston Rae, the late Duncan, Richard, Charles, Dr. John Oloo, Peter, Jared, John and Godfrey, Esther, Alice, Christine, Dorcas, Veronica, Josphine, Emilly, Roseline, Lilian, Sermina, Mary Obwogo, Dr. Mary Opiata, Irine, Cathrine and the late Teressa.

Mother-in-law of the late Saviours Juma (Kanam), Capt George Kopondo (Asembo Kanyigoro), the late Paul(Uyoma),Richard(Migori), Isabella, Bertha, Florence, Zilper, Sarah,Agropinoh, Caroline, Janet, the late Liz, and many others.

Grandmother of Kennedy, Alfred, Edward, Wilson, Erick, Selline, Jacqueline, Everline, Bryan, Julian, Emmanuel, Beverley, Evans, Hellen, among others.

Great-grandmother to many.

Her body will leave Star Mortuary, Kisumu on Thursday, 27 August 2026, after which there will be a service at Lweya ECCA Church. The burial ceremony will take place on Friday, 28 August 2026 at Minya village, Lieta – Uyoma Kabuong’.
