Plista Ojwang

BIRTH

The late Plista Ojwang Manyala was born in  1932 , in Kanyada, Katuma near Ngere primary school.She was a daughter to the late Orwa Okumu and the late Mama Odongo Orwa.

She was a sister to the late Michael Otieno, Nicholas Oloo, John Ayier, the late Oguda Orwa, late Francis Ayiecho, late Philip Abich, late Samuel Okumu, Fredrick Orwa, late min Adika, late min Nguka, late min Ochieng and Rose Atieno Orwa.

MARRIAGE

The late Plista was married to the late Marselos Manyala Oula in Kanyamwa, Kachola near Buche primary school in the year 1946.

She was a mother to the late Angelina Ombogo, Rusalina Apiyo, Siprina Akello, Phillip Omollo, Serfina Akoth, Cornel Osweto, Benta Okol, Roda Adhiambo, Lucas Oula, Climent Jowi, Jenifer Akumu and Mary Aoko.

She was a grandmother to Joseph Otieno, Maurice Ochieng, Dr. Charles Omondi Olang'o, Fredrick Omollo, Evance Jowi, Joseph Ouma, Philip Ochieng, Everline Akinyi, Emmily and others. In total she had 96 grandchildren and 84great grandchildren.

EDUCATION LIFE

The late Plista pursued her primary education at Ngere primary school  but because of low income, she was unable to further her education.

RELIGIOUS LIFE

Throughout her life's journey, she held a steadfast place within the children of God at New Apostolic Church, where her faith blossomed.

ILLNESS 

On 7th August 2023, at around 1pm, she was gripped by unexpected chest pains, leaving her struggling for reach of breath and as her children were looking for a solution to take her to hospital in a desparate bid to save her, her journey was tragically cut short as she passed on ,on the way,leaving a profound sense of loss and sorrow  in its wake.
