It is with deep sorrow we announce the demise of Moses Wakaba Waithaka.
He was born on 20/08/1963 in Londiani, Kericho county.He was the sixth child of the late Peter Waithaka Thindiu and the late Freciah Wangari Waithaka.
The late Moses is the brother to Anneh Nduta, The late Keziah Wanjiru, The late Esther Wambui, Sammy Thindiu,Zipporah Wanjiku, The late Serah Mukami,The late Elizabeth Nyagigi and Ruth Mumbi Ndungu.
EARLY LIFE
At the age of three, the family relocated from Londiani in 1966 and settled in Turi Farmers, Turi. Moses was a bubbly and jovial child, He had a normal childhood raised in a strict Christian background.
EDUCATION
Moses started his schooling at the Turi Farmers Nursery school in 1967. He then joined Turi Sulgwita primary school and later proceed to Njoro High School for his O levels.
After his O level, he became an apprentice at the East Main garage in Elburgon where he became a motor vehicle mechanic.
CHURCH
Moses Wakaba was born into a staunch Christian home and thus was baptised in 1963 at the londiani PCEA church. He later joined Sunday school and youth fellowship at the PCEA church Turi.
At the time of his demise he was a member of PCEA kiambaa kiambu county.
MARRIAGE
Moses met and married Mary Wanjiku Muturi in a traditional ceremony in 1983. They later solemnized their Union at PCEA Church in Elburgon in1991. He later met and married Joyce Muthoni Wakaba.
Together they were blessed with eight children namely, Peter Waithaka,Freciah Wangari,The late Lucy Nyambura, Simon Muturi,Tony Karanja, Terresiah Waithera,Ann Rose Wanjiru and Mary Wambui.
CAREER
The late Moses Wakaba worked at Total petrol station Mau Summit, Total petrol station Gatithe Nyeri, Kenol petrol station kiino and Shell petrol station Ngong road as a station Superintendent.
He later joined Manpower recruitment agency where he worked untill his retirement.
Throughout Moses was very enterprising and tried his hands in various businesses including a posho mill in Randi ,Turi.
All though his adult life he engaged in small scale Farming.
DEMISE
Moses Wakaba Waithaka suffered from undiagnosed Depression and on 31/10/2022 he went to be with the Lord aged 59.
He is survived by his 2 widows, 7 children and 9 grand children.
May the Lord rest his soul in eternal life.
