It is with deep sorrow that we inform you about the passing of Mr.Stephen Oliver Manafa Munyasia on Friday, November 4th, 2022
Until his death, the late was an active farmer at Mabusi Scheme..
Manafa is to be laid to rest on Tuesday 15/11/2022 at Matisi Village, Mabusi Scheme Moi's Bridge, Kakamega County.
The funeral service will conducted by Victory Church at 1:30pm Tuesday 15/11/2022 before burial
OBITUARY
The late Stephen Manafa was born in 1963 to the late John "Williams" Munyasia Kusimba of the Balako clan and Miriam Muyama Munyasia of Omwang’iani clan, at Pumwani Maternity Hospital, in current Nairobi County.
He was the second born child in a family of six siblings namely: The late John Simiyu Munyasia, the late Susan Nelima, the late Priscah Munyasia, Bishop Martin Mafumbo and the late Moses Biketi: Others are: Mrs Hyder Wanyama, Vidole Kichana,Toili John Walimbo, Ma-saya, Maasai, the late Wavulei and Wanyera.
Initiation:
The late Manafa was circumcised in 1972. He belonged to the Omuchuma age set.
Education:
The late Manafa started his early Education at Eastleigh Primary School. He thereafter transferred to AgaKhan Primary School where he completed his Certificate of Primary Education in 1977. He then proceeded to Dagoretti High school for both "O" and "A" level education and performed very well.
Career:
He worked at Kisumu Breweries and Kakamega Cereals Board and upon exit of formal employment he became a farmer till his demise.
Family Life:
The late Manafa, after several years of challenges in marriage, finally married Emily Naliaka of Bakimwei clan in 1998 and was blessed with three children Massiah Nelima, Belinda Nandako and William Munyasia Manafa. In his previous relationships, he was blessed with four sons: Aggrey, Festus, Emmanuel and Moses.
Spiritual Life/Lifetime Memories
The late Manafa was born a Roman Catholic and baptized when he was young. Together with his late parents, he then moved to the Salvation Army Church. In 2019, he got saved and joined VICTORY CHURCH till his demise.
Health and Sickness
In 2019 the late Stephen Manafa was diagnosed with a serious bacterial infection and admitted in Kitale County Level 4 hospital. He was treated and discharged and was under the care of his young brother Bishop Mafumbo in Cherengany before he returned to his home in Matisi. In 2020 he was diagnosed with hypertension. He was placed on treatment while undergoing constant check-ups at several hospitals including Kitale County Level 4 Hospital.
Death:
He died on Friday the 4th of November 2022, at 11.36 am in his home in Matisi.
SUMMARY:
1. He lived for 59 years.
2.He had 7 children.
3.He left a widow - Emily Naliaka Manafa.
4. He died a born-again Christian.
