DAD'S TRIBUTE
Big Boy, Big Boy as I would always call you. You were my pride and joy even as everyone would say you were my photocopy. I remember holding you the first time in the delivery room I thanked God for you and fell in love with you immediately. You changed our lives from that day and we would align ourselves to your schedule. We would take photos & videos of every step of your growth and be proud of how fast you were growing up. You learned how to crawl & walk all by yourself and it made us proud. You were always jealous of how I loved mum and every time I would walk in the house after you hugged me you would rush to mum so that I would not get her attention and when I tried to hug her you would push me away. I will miss the double fives greetings you would give me every time we were together. You had a way of making us smile and laugh even when we were tired due to work and you would keep us entertained until late in the night. You enjoyed watching football matches with me even the late night ones. I got into trouble with mum because of breaking the house rules and schedules she had set for you just so that you would enjoy yourself more. You were a happy boy and you would laugh out loud every time your favourite hachu song would play on TV and it made us happy. I am proud we gave you the best life and your memories will always remain in our hearts. Your death is heavy on us since we had a lot of plans for you but we thank God for the 22months he enabled us to spend with you. You were our first born and you will always remain in our hearts.
MUM'S TRIBUTE
You were life
You were my life my baby boy
You were a happy soul, you loved taking showers, standing beneath the waters calmed you, you loved watching telly on the TV stand, jumping on seats, you had just learnt to laugh loudly...I will miss that laugh.
Your first word was mama, but you soon abandoned it and developed another tongue, your babbling was my joy
Though you looked like your dad, even in the many small quirky ways, plus his love of meat... you definitely got your salty tooth and love for fries from me
My baba, I'm at peace with the knowledge that you died peacefully, that you didn't struggle.
Rest Well!
