Joseph Omollo

It is with profound sadness, heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Japuonj (mwalimu) Joseph Vincent Ochieng Omolo that occurred on 25th January 2023 at AgaKhan Hospital, Kisumu, Kenya. 

Son of the late Japuonj Romlus W. Omolo and the late Marcella O. Omolo. Darling husband to Margaret Rose Onyango Ochieng. Loving father to Judith Gondi of PEN, Rev. Sr. Dr. Celine of St. Francis Training College Nyamonge, Martha Ochieng, of Kisumu County Government, Emmanuel Ochieng businessman, Zachaeus Odhiambo of Big Five H. East Africa Ltd, Esther Awuor Ochieng of Kabete National polytechnic, Immaculate Akinyi Prison primary school of Nakuru county government, Alacoque Achieng of Water Resources Authority, Teresa Amina of Newlands school, Dubai,UAE. Melchizedeck Noah Argwings of Plasma Digital and John Paul of Nyeri National polytechnic. Father In-law to David Gondi Orenda, Maureen Akoth Otieno, Violet Auma Otieno, Joyce Agola Owino, Nicholas Onyango, Kennedy Omondi, Boniface Were and Lee Ouma.

Brother to Bernadette Odero, Dr. Matilda Angela Okech, Ursula Komudho, Alloys Omolo, and late Margaret Omolo. Brother-In-Law to Nobert Odero, Late Dr. Prof. Ben Okech, late Ben K’omudho, Mary Omolo, Late Calsina Abiero, Late Lucas Aminer, Late Marcella Atieno, Domnic Okello, Late Mary Aloo, Mary Adero, late Anne Onyango, Joseph Moore, Doris Agola and Vincent Andedo. Cousin and uncle to many.

Joseph was hospitalized under intensive care for over two (2) months with a large bill incurred and was in and out of hospital after discharge for another 4 months. The family is seeking financial support towards Joseph's unmet medical expenses amounting to (Ksh 5,103,391/=) & funeral expenses (Ksh 855,510/=)  totalling to Ksh 5,958,901/=.
