John Thuku Kariuki

BIRTH

John was born on 15th August 1978 at Pumwani Maternity Hospital in Nairobi.He was the third born child to Kariuki Thuku and the late Nancy Njeri Kariuki.His siblings are Rith Wangui, Zipporah Wangechi and Mollie Wahito.

SPIRITUAL LIFE
John receives infant baptism at PCEA Thage-ini in 1979 and was a PCEA follower untill adulthood.He later converted to Catholic Faith and has been a member of Christ the king Catholic Church Githurai.

EDUCATION
John started his early education at Langata Road Primary School in 1983 and later joined Embakasi Primary in Nairobi, where he stayed alittle while.His parents moved to Nakuru and so he was transferred to Nakuru where he attended Harambee Khalsa and Nioro High School.He was later transfered to Aquinas Boys Secondary School where he sat for his form four exams.
He joined Kenya Polytechnic to pursue a diploma in Accounting.

MARRIAGE
John met his dear wife Linet Njeri Mugo at Githurai during their teenage years.They became friends and later a loving couple.They married in accordance to Kikuyu customs in 2004.
They were blessed with two children Nancy Wachera and Tanishia Wambui .Thuku was son-in-law to John Mugo and Mary Wambui Mugo.Brother-in-law to David Mwikya Sebastian Barth and Simon Kimani.He was uncle to Duane Kimani, Wesley Kariuki, Aiden Wanyoike, Mario Mwikya, Joy Njeri,Cara Berth and Marcus Berth.

WORK
He worked at kenya Revenue Authority in Nairobi.

HEALTH
John has been of robust health all his life.However he developed stomach pains on Monday 2nd October and was rushed to Ruai Family Hospital along Southern bypass, where he passed on undergoing treatment.Thuku died at the early age of 45 on Tuesday 3rd October, 2023.
