EULOGY OF THE LATE DOMINIC MAKOKHA WAKOLI
Birth
The late was borm on 25th December 1941 in Milani–Bokoli in Bungoma County.He was the 7th born of the Late Wakoli wa Muhuyi from Bayemba clan & the late Elizabeth Naliaka Nyeresa of Babulo clan.He was a brother to the late Gabriel Juma,The late Janet Nanyama,the late Jane Were,The late Geoffrey Wakoli & the late Camily Wakoli,A cousin to Annet,Philip,Josphat &Paul.
Education
He started School at Milani Primary in 1952 class 1–3 then joined intermediate School at Sikhendu in 1959.He sat for KPE Examination in 1962 & in 1964 begun teaching as UT Un-Trained Teacher at Kiminini boys.He then joined St.Joseph’s TTC in 1965-1966.In 1971 sat for KJSE & became a P2 Teacher in 1972

The late was circumcised on 6thAugust 1956- Banyage No.5 age Set
Career/ Work
He was posted at Chepchoina Primary School in 1967-1974 as a P3 teacher.In 1975-1977 moved to Kiptuimet as a Deputy Headmaster.In 1978-1984 he was transferred to Kapkoi RC Primary.In 1985-1987 he became a Headmaster at Lunyu Primary School.In 1988-1990 He moved to Nasianda Primary.From 1991-1997 He was then moved to Korosiot Primary School where he retired .
MATRIMONY
The late Dominic Makokha Wakoli was married to the late Fridah Nafula Bunyasi of Bakitang’a clan on 24thApril 1970.He was blessed with 9 children,4 girls & 5 Boys namely:Evelyne Naliaka,Margret Nasimiyu,Bernard Wafula,Antony Wachikana,Silas Chokeli,The late Alex Nyongesa,Amos Muhuyi,Pamela Nyeresa & the late Mary Ann Nekesa.He left behind 36 grandchildren & 4 great grand children.
Church Life
He was a Catholic member & was baptized on 22nd December 1956 as Andrew & later confirmed as Dominic in 1957.He served as a chairman of the Small Christian Community at St.Teresa’s & St.Andrew’s.At Kwanza St.Peter’s Catholic he served as the chairman & has been the strong piller in leadership at Catholic Men Association(CMA )
Health
The late has been of good health until year 2019.He started complaining of dizziness & eventually was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure.Since then he has been on medication & attending clinics.
Demise
On 3rd of February 2024,The late complained of fatigue & dizziness,this time without pain in the body.On 12th of Febuary 2024 he was taken to Kwanza Sub-county hospital and upon diagnosis,was revealed he was Anaemic & had severe Malaria.He was put on treatment and after one week he went back for check up still feeling weak.The prescription was changed & there some improvement,however on 25th February his condition deteriorated & he got worse.He was rushed & taken to Cherangany hospital & upon arrival,He was pronounced dead
